About This Site
This site was built with Next.js, React, Tailwind, and is hosted on Vercel.
I first started working on it in 2022, after many years of cycling through different site frameworks and hosting platforms. At first, I was using Wordpress, but I found it to be too slow and clunky for my needs. Although I was able to get it to work, I found that I was spending more time trying to get it to work than I was actually working on the site.
Every site has its problems, though. This one, for example, has become to too bloated for me to manage as easily as I would like. That's why I'm considering building a backend for this React app, so that I can manage the content more easily. I've been looking into using a headless CMS like Strapi, but I'm not sure if it's the right fit.
All the images on my portfolio were generated using either MidJourney or DALL-E 3. I also try to incorporate architecture diagrams and other visualizations into my work, which I make using Keynote, LucidChart, Figma, tldraw, or Mermaid.js.
